The Boston Uprising’s academy team, Uprising Academy, have with Nintendo claiming the termination was for disclosing confidential information.they will not be fielding a team for the remainder of 2022 and will return some time in 2023. This means that everyone has now a free agent with the exception of Kim “ITSAL” Chang-hee who was on a two-way contract.
Uprising Academy returned to this past July and qualified for the most recent season of Overwatch Contenders: North America. In this time they finished in 7th place on the A-Side and 4th on the B-Side.
