Owlcat Games and Another Angle Games have announced their upcoming turn-based RPG Shadow of the Road has been delayed. The game had been scheduled to release on November 12, 2026, but has now been pushed back until March 10, 2027.
Owlcat Games released the following statement:
This extra time will let the developers address remaining issues and give the whole experience the polish it deserves.
The team will refine the tactical aspect of the encounters and fine-tune combat balance. It is of great importance that the positioning, initiative and ability choices all play their part in every battle and that every encounter rewards thoughtful planning and provides players with meaningful decisions to make. The developers are also hard at work on the progression systems in order to make developing the party more engaging: The goal is to give players more reasons to experiment with different skills and adapt their tactics to the challenges.
During this longer period of waiting, fans of Shadow of the Road can look forward to more trailers and insights into the game world soon.
Shadow of the Road is in development for PC via Epic Games Store, and Steam.
