Yesterday it was announced that Xbox COO Helen Chiang has left her position after only three months. This had come as a surprise to some as Chiang has been with Microsoft for over 20 years. However, if rumors are true there is more to the departure behind the surface.
According to a verified source for Eurogamer, Chiang was let go due to “terminated for policy violations”. When the outlet reached out to Xbox for comment, they received the following response:
“We don’t discuss individual personnel matters. We’re grateful for Helen’s years of service and wish her well”.
