A massive announcement has been made that shook the European scene of Overwatch as Cloud9 have announced that the London Spitfire’s academy team British Hurricane are going on an indefinite hiatus.
Since it’s formation in early 2018, British Hurricane have gone on to not only be one of the dominate teams in all of Europe, but in the world earning more than $365,000 in cash payouts. In 2020 and 2021 alone the team won Contenders: Europe ten times. In early 2021 their roster were promoted up to the London Spitfire who despite ruling over Europe only managed to finish in 17th place overall with a 6-15 record.
