Two Motorsport Games Employees Win Lawsuit For Unpaid Wages

As first reported by Mike Straw at Insider-Gaming, Motorsport Games have lost two lawsuits filed against them for unpaid wages.

Both of these payouts exceed $10,000 each with one being awarded $14,600 according to a source familiar with the matter. These same sources also noted that around 30 employees located within Russia have not been paid from as far back as October 2022. Motorsport Games has claimed they are not allowed to pay these employees within the country due to the war in Ukraine.

Motorsport Games has been heavily criticized by NASCAR fans for some time due to lackluster quality of games and expansions since acquiring the NASCAR license. Dating back to this time last year, multiple former employees noted several projects being halted and the company being in serious financial trouble. Things had even gotten so bad that NASCAR themselves were reported to have been trying to get out of their exclusivity contract with Motorsport Games due to negative reviews of NASCAR 21: Ignition.
