During Sony’s E3 Press Conference, Sony announced with the help of Yu Suzuki that Shenmue 3 is in development and is looking for funding through popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter. Immediately after the announcement, so many people tried accessing the site that Kickstarter actually crashed leaving the entire site inaccessible for almost 3 minutes.
The fundraising goal is slated for $2 Million and after only 15 minutes had already raised over $100,000. As of publishing it is at $1,253,737 pledged with 14,743 backers.
