The Shanghai Dragons have announced they have parted ways with five members of their roster. These players are Kang “Void” Jun-woo, Kim “Fleta” Byung-sun, Koo “Fate” Pan-seung, Lee “WhoRU” Seung-jun, and Yoon “BeBe” Hee-chang.
Coming off the heels of a 2021 world championship, the Shanghai Dragons entered the 2022 season with high expectations. While not finishing at the top, the team finished 2nd in the East Standing and 5th overall at the end of the season. The playoffs saw them eliminated a lot faster that what was expected being shut out by the Hangzhou Spark in Round 1 before losing 3-1 to the San Francisco Shock in the Losers Bracket.
