Mojang have released patch 1.42 for Minecraft on Playstation 4. The big part of the update is the framerate fix. You can view the patch notes down below..
- Added Fallout Battle Map Pack Trial
- Fix for being unable to change a Mob Spawner to spawn pigs
- Fix for player exiting any vehicle they were riding beyond your draw distance, then comes back towards you
- Fix for crash that can occur when saving particularly detailed worlds
- Fix for crash that can occur when cycling through the Firework crafting menu
- Fixed some issues that caused low framerate
- Fix for save transfer failing
