According to a report by Motherboard Lifeboat Network, a private server service for Minecraft Pocket Edition, was hacked. The service was hacked several months ago, but never informed customers until security researcher Troy Hunt of Have I Been Pwned? spoke out. Motherboard has reported that 7 million users of Lifeboat have had their email addressses, usernames, and passwords stolen by hackers.

A Lifeboat representative said the following..

“When this happened [in] early January we figured the best thing for our players was to quietly force a password reset without letting the hackers know they had limited time to act. We did this over a period of some weeks. We retain no personal information (name, address, age) about our players, so none was leaked.”

However, some users of Lifeboat had said they were never asked to change their passwords. The best advice we can give you if you play Minecraft is to change your passwords for both Minecraft and your e-mail just to be on the safe side.
