If you’ve ever stepped into a video game store in the past 4 years you’ve probably noticed that the amount of games that are being available digitally seem to be growing every year. Of course this is very obvious if you look at the PC section. A recent analysis done by DFC Intelligence reported to PC Retail that 92% of all PC games sold around the world in 2013 were distributed digitally, and not from actual discs. These results found that while PC gaming did do better in overall revenue from digital sales, it’s hard to tell what the future holds. While things like Steam.GOG, and G2A are growing every year, console makers are also increasing the amount of games you can buy digitally through On-Demand services on Playstation Network and Nintendo’s eShop.
