Vox Media Hit Lays Off 7% Of Workforce

The journalism industry has been hit once again as CNN Business confirmed that Vox Media will be laying off 130 employees, or 7%, of their total workforce.

Jim Bankoff, CEO of Vox Media, said in a company email:

“We are experiencing and expect more of the same economic and financial pressures that others in the media and tech industries have encountered.”

Vox Media has their hands in many forms of online media outlets such as NowThis, The Verge, The Dodo, and Polygon.
