Twitch Found To Be Using Streamer Content To Train AI

First brought to light by streaming reporter Zach Bussey, Twitch was found to be using streamer content to train Amazon AI by default.

This went viral immediately as it appears this was added very recently and in secret from the general public. Adding to the argument is how buried into your Twitch accounts’ security settings the opt-out option is.

In a stream by their Chief Product Officer Mike Minton, they mentioned why this setting was automatic within an opt-in option being made available.

“Well, there’s an honest answer and I think most of you probably can appreciate this: If it was opt-in, nobody would opt-in. Um, that’s honestly the answer. So it’s going to be on by default.”
