Jason Schreier of Bloomberg has confirmed that the latest executive to be leaving Blizzard Entertainment will be Chacko Sonny effective this coming Friday. Sonny served as the Production Director of Overwatch and most recently served as the Executive Producer of Overwatch 2.
In a rather interesting tidbit, special updates for Overwatch 2 are set to be unveiled to the public during the special pre-show and half-time events during the Overwatch League Grand Finals taking place this coming Friday. The same day as his departure. Schreier was also told by a Blizzard spokesperson that Overwatch 2 “is in the final stages of production” despite still not having an official release date.
