New York Excelsior Sign Four New Players

The New York Excelsior have announced they are coming home to New York after spending last season in Korea. Not only that, but they’ve picked up four new members to their roster and bringing them along for the ride. Those four players are Sang-min Myunb0ng Seo, Nam-jin Gangnamjin Kang, Jun-ki Yaki Kim, and Min-jae Kellan Kim.

Each of these members come from other teams within the Overwatch League with the notable exception being Kellan who spent the past year with powerhouses Talon Esports in Contenders: Korea.

Despite entering the 2021 season highly rated, the Excelsior managed to finished the finish the season in 14th place overall with a 7-9 record. The team also had a majority of their players retire after everyone except Flora was released back in October 2021. Both Kalios and JJoNak have since moved over to the Washington Justice and Seoul Dynasty respectively.
