NES Classic Edition Discontinued In Japan And Europe

The NES Classic Edition isn’t just being discontinued in North America. Nintendo have confirmed that it will be discontinued in both Japan and Europe.

A Nintendo spokesman gave the following statement to Eurogamer

“We can confirm that we are no longer manufacturing the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. If production resumes in the future, an update will be posted on the official Nintendo website.”

A similar statement was sent to Siliconera confirming the Famicom Mini is also being discontinued in Japan.
