Intellivision Found To Have 3 LLCs Suspended

Brought to our attention by the small YouTube channel The Geek Getaway, Intellivision currently have 3 of their 5 LLCs suspended in the state of California. According to a Business Entities search for the state of California, all three of these LLCs were suspended by California Secretary of State Dr. Shriley N. Weber. The three suspended LLCs are Intellivision Game Assets LLC, Intellivision Media Assets LLC, and Intellivision Games LLC.

From what it appears, Intellivision only filed two of the Statement of Information forms to the state. The first being for Intellivision Entertainment LLC back in August and Intellvision Holdings LLC this past December.

According to the State of California Franchise Tax Board website, the Secretary of State can suspend/forfeit a business for not filing the required Statement of Information. The SOS can impose a $250 fine and cannot do the following if said business is suspended:

  • Legally do business
  • Sell, transfer, or exchange real property
  • File with an automatic extension
  • File a claim for refund
  • Start or continue a protest
  • Legally close or dissolve your business
  • Bring an action or defend your business in court
  • File or maintain an appeal before the Office of Tax Appeals
  • Maintain the right to use your business name
    • Secretary of State (SOS) will deny your revivor request if the entity name is no longer available.
  • Retain tax-exempt status.
    • We revoke an organization’s tax-exempt status as of the suspension date.

It’s currently unknown how these renewals may have been overlooked or if this effects the developing of the planned Intellivision Amico console.
