Nintendo announced this morning the total amount of units they have sold of the new Super Smash Bros. game. The total amount of copies sold as of right now is 2.8 million. This includes both physical units as well as digital sales. That number includes all of America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
Half of total sales have come exclusively in Japan. The game has been out in Japan since September 13 and has sold 1.43 million copies. This is despite the fact that physical copies have been sold out in the country for the past 2 weeks.
