Blizzard Entertainment States There Are No Plans For NFTs

In what could be a good sign for many gamers, current Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra took to Twitter to respond to an article on Video Game Chronicles published by their editor Andy Robinson showing that the company have been surveying people regarding NFTs and “play to earn” games.

Needless to say, it appears that these ideas did not go over well with gamers as it led to Ybarra saying:

No one is doing NFTs.

While it could lead to what some would feel as a step in the right direction by Blizzard, the company have not have the best record with fans over the past several years with many of the decisions coming from Activision. This includes things such as the infamous real world auction house in Diablo 3 way back in 2012 and the increase in microtransactions across all Blizzard titles.
