Unity Pro For Free?

Unity Technologies and Sony Computer Entertainment have teamed up and announced today that they will be giving away Unity Pro for free to licensed Playstation developers who wish to make a game for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PS Vita. Teiji Yutaka of Sony had this to say…

 

“We are very happy to begin offering Unity for our PlayStation® platforms at no additional cost to developers. Some of the most exciting and high quality games are being created in the vibrant indie community. We’re happy to help ensure all developers have the same opportunities to create wonderful new experiences for our powerful PlayStation platforms.”

 

Some games that have been developed using Unity include Hearthstone, Plague Inc: Evolved, Temple Run 2, and Deus Ex: The Fall.
