Xbox To No Longer Charge Immediately For Digital Pre-Orders

Mike Ybarra of Microsoft revealed during the latest Xbox Preview program the company will be making changes to the way pre-orders are done in the future.

Ybarra stated that when pre-ordering a game, funds will not be withdrawn immediately from your account. Instead, funds will be deducted from your account 10 days or less prior to the game’s release date. This will only be done digitally and not through physical stores such as GameStop and Best Buy. The company hopes that this will decrease the amount of request for refunds and will allow gamers to look for better deals other outlets might be offering.
