whynow Media Acquires Wireframe Magazine

Digital magazine and production house whynow Media have announced they have acquired the rights to the video game magazine Wireframe from Raspberry Pi. As part of this acquisition, magazine editor Ryan Lamble will also be joining the team.

Lamble said in a press release:

“I’m excited to be joining the team at whynow, and to be working on the new gaming venture with them. I’ve been a fan of the brand and the work it’s doing to champion the arts for a while, so having the opportunity to join them and work on something new is a great way to begin 2023.”

whynow Media started as a digital magazine, whynow.co.uk, in 2019 and was founded by Gabriel Jagger. The brand’s motto is to champion the good in the world, with a particular focus on the arts, including film, TV, music and theatre. The company also recently acquired the rights to Great Big Story from CNN.

Wireframe shut down their monthly physical magazine earlier this month and pivoted to a digital only model.
