Oddshot.tv, the video capturing service, announced they will be shutting down on February 12. The company said “the growth of ad-block” contributed to its demise while some believe that “unsavory NSFW content” also played a factor.
A representative for Oddshot told Medium..
“For our lifespan, we relied solely on VC funding, which resulted in growth MoM (Month on Month) being one of our core values. Mid 2017, the team looked intro traditional methods to gain revenue to help extend the lifespan of Oddshot, however, with the growth of ad-block we quickly became aware that ads would not be feasible.”
Oddshot was used as a video capturing service that was used to clips on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Periscope.
