A prototype of an unreleased Atari 2600 game named Donald Duck’s Speedboat has found its way to popular auction site eBay. The sellers are warpzoneonline and are among the top rated sellers on the site with a feedback score of 13,283.
Donald Duck’s Speedboat was scheduled to be part of Atari’s children’s series, but was cancelled very late in development. It is believed that Brazilian company Polyvox did release the game within Brazil with some changes to the label. Many believe the reason for the cancellation is due to the lackluster sales of Atari’s Children’s collection and overall difficulty.
The current asking price for the prototype is $999.99.
