Tencent Buys Equity In Bohemia Interactive

Tencent have announced they have purchased a minority stake in video game studio Bohemia Interactive. This acquisition will simply be a financial one and the company will operate independently.

Marek Španěl, CEO of Bohemia Interactive, said in a press release:

“We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Tencent, one of the most significant internet companies in the world. We look forward to working on our current and future generations of games with the support of a strong partner that has known us for many years and understands our unique approach to online games.”

Bohemia Interactive are the studio behind titles such as Vigor, Ylands, and DayZ.
