Nintendo announced during Tokaigi 2017 that their upcoming Switch game Splatoon 2 will have ‘LAN Play’ and Private Battle Spectator View’ features.
The LAN Play feature will allow up to 8 players to play together without an internet connection. Private Battle Spectator View will allow 2 players to view the game as a spectator with different views. The main benefit for this would be for distribution videos online through sites like YouTube and Facebook.
