Roblox have announced they are implementing new policy changes that will hide ads for all users below the age of 13.
This stems from a complaint filed by the non-profit organization Truth in Advertising who issued a complaint with the FTC noting the company’s targets ads towards minors.
These new policy advertising changes include the following bans:
- Ads that solicit charitable donations.
- Ads that promote multilevel marketing companies or their products.
- Ads that promote financial services (tax preparation or credit monitoring).
- Ads that promote cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
