Independent studio Playtonic have taken to social media to confirm that layoffs have taken place at their offices.
While the company did not provide an estimated amount, they did clarify this was a round of layoffs and not an isolated decision.
The company formed back in 2017 and developed Yooka-Laylee and its sequel Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. In recent years, the company has primarily focused on publishing independent games such as Dunk Dunk, Lil Gator Game, Demon Turf, and the upcoming game Cattle Country.
