NASCAR Heat: Evolution Revealed

Dusenberry Martin Racing have announced that they will have a new NASCAR game coming to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Steam platforms this fall. For many avid NASCAR fans this can’t come soon enough. The last few iterations of the game were not well received by fans. There were plenty of bugs mixed with poor handling that plagued the games. Dusenberry Martin listened to the racing fans and found that many loved the NASCAR Heat games that were released in early 2000’s. Also, Tom Dusenberry (Chief Executive of DMR) was the founder and former president of Hasbro Inc. which was the publisher for the original NASCAR Heat video games. Based on the feedback they were able to bring back their original developer, Monster Games, that has had much success with the racing games from early on. NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona was developed by Monster Games and is a fan favorite to this day. The NASCAR Heat series they made also resulted in some of the highest reviewed NASCAR games. Putting them back behind the wheel of development and creating an entirely new game from ground up instead of using the same game engine from previous years should provide great results.

The new NASCAR game itself will be launched on September 13th of this year. It will feature all 23 tracks currently on the circuit along with a majority of the drivers. They have yet to reveal the full driver list probably due to working out contracts for each driver and each sponsor. The game is said to “dynamically adept” to your skill level. They are trying to cover everyone with this game, from kids to full on racing experts that have the full racing wheel and pedal rigs. The cover art for the game has not been released yet as Dusenberry Martin Racing is having a competition to see who will be the highest finishing driver at the All Star Race tomorrow night. There’s not really been a reason as to why it has to be Toyota unless this is either a sponsored event or simply because they are choosing a different manufacturer each release. The drivers that have the opportunity to be on the cover are Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Bush, or Matt Kenseth. If you are a NASCAR fan and want to see who wins be sure to tune in to Fox Sports 1 at 9PM Eastern tomorrow for the Sprint All Star Race.
