League of Legends Ranked Play Offline

Riot Games has removed Ranked Play from League of Legends this morning. This is due to a major bug that was “negatively impacting games.” This is huge news as League of Legends is the most played MOBA in the world with over 25 million players everyday.

The game breaking bug is dealing with the Recall spell that allows players to teleport back to their base from anywhere on the map. This spell normally has a timer, but the bug rids the timer making teleports instant.

Riot Games released this statement…

“Unfortunately, this particular issue can’t be mitigated by disabling a specific champion or item so we’ve temporarily disabled Ranked while we develop a solution.”

We will make sure to keep everyone updated.
