Gundam Evolution Shutting Down

Bandai Namco have announced they will be shutting down the service for their free-to-play multiplayer title Gundam Evolution effective November 29.

Kazuya Maruyama, executive producer of Gundam Evolution, said in the message:

We wanted to create a title that brought FPS fans and Gundam fans together. We challenged ourselves to create an authentic Gundam FPS game that could be played globally. Unfortunately, we have determined that it is no longer possible for us to provide a service that satisfies our players.

Despite having the Gundam IP connected to it, the game was never able to bring in the numbers to warrant the game from continuing. The game first launched back on September 20, 2022 via Steam to mixed reviews. It was later ported over to Xbox One, Xbox Series, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5 later that November.
