If you’ve ever played GTA Online you have probably at least heard of the microtransactions known as Shark Cards. These cards will give you in-game money in exchange for real money.
According to court documents regarding a current legal battle between Rockstar Games and a former producer, GTA Online has grossed a little over half a billion dollars from GTA Online alone. This number does not include the money from the purchasing cost of Grand Theft Auto V itself.
The documents stated that since launch, Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online have grossed a total of over $3 Billion.
