When Grand Theft Auto V was released it took the gaming world by storm with many calling in “sick” just to stay up for 24 hours and explore Los Santos in all its glory. Despite taking a very long time to be ported over to PC, it’s still doing extremely well.
According to SteamSpy, Grand Theft Auto V has now sold over 3 million copies on Steam alone. Grand Theft Auto IV has sold 3.6 million copies on Steam and it looks like GTA V will surpass it in the near future. It’s also worth noted that Rockstar Games also offers players the chance to purchase the game via Rockstar’s Social Club, which are not included in these stats.
