EA Shutting Down Origin

In a statement released for PC users, Electronic Arts announced they will be shutting down their Origin platform effective April 17 for both Mac and PC users. The company noted that their reasoning for this decision was due to Microsoft no longer supporting 32-bit software.

Those who use the service will have to upgrade to 64-bit software found on Windows 10 or 11 for PC users and macOS Catalina 10.15.5 or later for Mac.

Everyone’s account and games will be transferred over to the EA app once the shut down takes place. Those who continue to run 32-bit software will not have access to their libraries.
