EA Making Changes To Need For Speed: Payback After Microtransactions Fiasco

In light of the controversy surrounding Star Wars Battlefront II and loot boxes, Electronic Arts have decided to make some adjustments to another game that features them. That being Need for Speed: Payback.

Need for Speed: Payback will now give more REP and Bank awards if you take part in events while also increasing them in Bait Crates (loot boxes). Also adjusted is air suspension will now appear more frequently in Shipments.

  • Increased the amount of REP awarded by taking part in events.
  • Increased the amount of Bank awarded by taking part in events.
  • Bait crates now reward increased REP.
  • Bait crates now reward increased Bank.
  • Competing against a Roaming Racer will reward you with increased REP.
  • Competing against a Roaming Racer will reward you with increased Bank.
  • Air Suspension will now appear more frequently within Shipments.
  • Slightly increased REP and Bank for finishing an event outside of first place.
