After three and a half years, Arc System Works have released a new update for their beat ’em up game Double Dragon IV. This update adds several new online modes.

- Online Mode #1: Story Mode – Play “Story Mode,” the game’s main mode, with a friend or another player from around the world. Play with various different combinations of playable characters.
- Online Mode #2: Tower Mode – Play the challenging “Tower Mode” with a friend or another play from around the world. Play this mode to unlock further playable characters.
- Online Mode #3: 2P Duel Mode – Play against distant friends and strangers from all over the world. Freely select from 25 playable characters, including hidden characters.
