CBC published a couple of interviews with voice actors who are members of the SAG-AFTRA union. The article reveals some of the hardships voice actors have gone through during a voice acting session.
One of the big ones was David Hayter, who voiced Solid Snake/Big Boss in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, admitting to throwing up during a session. Hayter stated..
“One time, I actually threw up on the mic because I had to make a bunch of vomiting sounds in a row.”
Despite 25% of voice actors being apart of unions, the strike has still effected 11 of the biggest publishers in the video game world.
