Activision Blizzard Implements Partial Return To Office Policy

As first reported and later confirmed by Video Games Chronicle, Activision Blizzard have started implementing ‘return to office plan’ which will make employees required to return to the office beginning in April.

A spokesperson to VGC:

“Activision Blizzard has been returning teams to the office over the past year, and on February 13, we updated our future-of-work plans. In close partnership with each leadership team, we customized a plan based on what’s best for our business and our teams.

“We look forward to the increased real-time, in-person collaboration and opportunities this change will foster.”

The story started after some Blizzard employees posted on Twitter that the return to office policy will start as soon as April depending on which studio you worked at and that many employees are against the policy. Reasons range from COVID-19 to increased cost of living in areas where offices are located in.

One person claiming to work in Quality Assurance at Activision noted on Reddit that this policy would be a hybrid model with 3 days at the office and 2 days working from home.
