Ninja Says Halo Esports Has Become A Joke

Famed Halo player Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently uploaded a video to his official YouTube channel announcing he will not be competing in the upcoming Fall season of the Halo Championship Series Pro League. Ninja noted several factors including focusing on PUBG, getting married, and focusing more on streaming.

What also caught some off guard is frustration with the HCS noting that the Fall Finals at Dreamhack Denver takes place on the same weekend as TwitchCon. Even to go as far as you say the the current state of Halo esports has become a joke. Ninja stated..

“I think it’s the stupidest thing in the world. TwitchCon has H1Z1 tournaments, [they have been] held there the last two years and other tournaments that are held there. It’s just a massive gathering and I can’t miss that.

“At that point, it’s a battle of Halo esports, which let’s be honest. It’s a joke. It’s not even like the people are doing a bad job. It’s like 100 percent there is no budget there and there’s definitely not enough people or staff. It’s because they don’t fucking care. It’s a joke.”
