South Korea Considering Jail Time For Boosters In Esports

The South Korean government are proposing a bill that would ban boosters in esports. A National Assembly representative stated..

“Illegal hacks, illegal private servers, and professional boosters are the three main factors that plague games and esports. We will now protect the game industry and the esports system through amendment of the game law.”

While this law does not mention paid boosts, it does add a great layer to the integrity of esports and competitive gaming as a whole.
