Runescape Gets Trading Card Spin-Off

Jagex has announced to participants at RuneFest that the company will be releasing a trading card game based on their world famous MMORPG Runescape. The game will be called Chronicles: Runescape Legends and will be released in 2015 for PC, iOS, and Android. Chronicles Lead Designer James Sweatman had this to say…

“We’ve been quietly developing Chronicle: RuneScape Legends since the start of the year to ensure that it’s not only a fun and compelling player experience, but one still very much interwoven into the rich lore of RuneScape. We’re looking forward to sharing more information on the game over the coming months, especially in regards to Chronicle’s debut on tablet and mobile!”

While fans of Warcraft are quick to say that it looks like a carbon copy of Hearthstone, Chronicle will be a quest-building game that will allow players to construct their own mini role-playing games.
