Nintendo Have No Current Plans For Cross-Platform Games

During their latest financial results briefing, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa revealed that while The Pokemon Company, which are partially owned by Nintendo, are trying out cross-platform play with Pokemon UNITE, Nintendo themselves do not have that planned.

Furukawa stated:

After advance discussions with The Pokémon Company about Pokémon UNITE, it was decided that given the genre of the game and the anticipated player population, a cross-platform format was appropriate. That said, we have no plans for cross-platform play for Nintendo titles.
