It seems that Stoic Studios are working on a title as based on how they plan on doing it might not go over well with gamers.
Thanks to job listings for both 3D Environment Artist and Level Designer, the company is looking for someone who familiar with Games as a Service (GaaS). Games as a Service is classified as providing video games or game content on a continuing revenue model. This includes things such as a Season Pass, microtransactions, and blockchain games.
With the amount of interest and controversy that has surrounded blockchain and NFTs over the past year, it’s not to unlikely that this could possibly involve the latter. The idea of this has sparked overwhelmingly large backlash amongst gamers around the world whenever a company brings the idea up.
