Back in 2010 many were introduced to the Western Entertainment genre when Rockstar Games gave us John Marston and Red Dead Redemption. Now it has solidified its place in video game history even more.
During a recent Take-Two Interactive shareholder outreach, the company noted that Red Dead Redemption has now shipped over 14 million copies worldwide. This success led Take-Two Head Strauss Zelnick to reveal last May that Red Dead Redemption will be a “permanent” franchise for Rockstar Games.
Red Dead Redemption is also in the top 10 of most requested games gamers want to be backwards compatible on Xbox One.
