Sega Reportedly Close To Finalizing Deal To Acquire Rovio

According to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, Sega Sammy are currently in negotiations to acquire Angry Birds developers Rovio for $1 billion.

Sources claim that the deal could be finalized as quick as next week.

Since the report was published, Sega released a statement to Axio reporter Stephen Totilo saying:

“No formal decision has been made regarding a deal. Sega continues to consider how to best enhance its corporate value.”
