Nintendo are not the only Japanese company to increase employee wages as Sega Sammy have announced they will also be increasing employee pay in Japan by 30%.
In addition, the base salary for university graduates will receive an even larger pay increase from ¥222,000 ($1,653) to ¥300,000 ($2,234).
These pay increases will only be for employees within Japan and go into effect July 1.
