FTC Allegedly Considering Lawsuit Against Microsoft Activision Acquisition

According to sources for Politico, the Federal Trade Commission are considering filing an antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

While a majority of their review into the acquisition has been completed, sources close to the matter have said that four commissioners have yet to meet with lawyers or vote on a complaint.

The United States are still not the only ones holding investigations as the Competition and Markets Authority in the United Kingdom received a statement from Sony just last month stating this will ultimately limit the option for both gamers and publishers. Sony even said that Microsoft is a “Tech Titan buying up irreplaceable content at incontestable prices ($68.7 billion) to tip competition to itself.”
