Sony Patents The Ability To Turn A Banana Into A Controller

In one of the strangest things we might ever see in video game history, Sony Interactive Entertainment have filed a patient with the United States Patent & Trademark Office to turn a banana into a controller.

While the patient mentions any “non-luminous passive object being held by a user,” the company decided to use a banana as an example in their patient images (listed above.)

Some have made reference to Knack as it was developed by Japan Studios. Others have noted that it could mean we could finally receive the commercial release of the Playstation 3 controller prototype.
