Major news out of Japan as Haruki Nakayama, the President of Marvelous, will be stepping down from his position due to ongoing health reasons. His replacement will be current Vice President Shuichi Motoda.
This announcement was done today and the change will be voted upon during their upcoming shareholders meeting scheduled for June 18.
Nakayama has had a very long career in the video game world as he started Marvelous Inc. 1997. During his tenure with the company, he took on many roles within the company alongside other roles including CEO of Rising Star Games and Director of Amuse Capital Incorporated just to name a few. He currently serves Chairman, President and CEO of Marvelous Inc., Director and Chairman of Marvelous USA, Chairman of Marvelous Europe Limited, and the Director of Yoyogi Animation academy incorporated.
Some of Marvelous’ recent games include Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, and God Eater 3.
