It seems like some interesting details for Red Dead Redemption 2 might have surfaced as according to an anonymous user on NeoGAF who goes by Simo, Red Dead Redemption 2 will have three playable characters. The user stated..
“It’ll be just like Redemption. Single player story, open world, stranger events, gang hideouts and all that shit. Three playable members of John’s former gang, and John isn’t one.” If this is true, it could mean that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption game or take place after Josh Marston split from his gang.
The source also claimed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will operate much like how Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online operate by having what it dubs Red Dead Redemption Online “release later on, just like with GTA5”.
Please keep in mind that this are still rumors and nothing has been confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. It is however worth noting that Simo also predicted several details about GTA Online updates.
