Several Destiny Videos On YouTube Hit With Copyright Takedowns, Includes Bungie Themselves

As noted by a report from PC Gamer, several Destiny content creators have been receiving loads of copyright takedown notices for their videos. The takedowns have gotten so bad that Bungie themselves have had to issue a statement via Twitter along with a link to their IP and Trademark policies.

The company stated:

We’re aware of a series of copyright takedowns on YouTube and we’re actively investigating. This includes content on our own Bungie channels. These actions are NOT being taken at the request of Bungie or our partners. Please standby for future updates.

Bungie also revealed that even their own videos are being hit with copyright strikes implying that all of these could be coming from a third party which is something that has plagued YouTube for years.
